The Landrum Family.Editor Brkatiiitt News:The following is ft short history of the Landrum family of Kentucky:.James Landrum was bom in Scotland in 1703. C ame to this country in the year 1725, and settled on the James river in Virginia. He was a local preacher and raised a large family of hoys. His oldest son, Francis Landrum, wasboro in 1738, and was a local preacher in the Methodist church for thirty years. Francis Landrum was born in 1752, and raised a large family in Louisa county, Virginia. Reuben Landrum, his son, was horn in 1774, married Miss Patsy Bibb and moved to Kentucky and settled in Clark county, where heraised a large family. His oldestson, William B. Landrum, was a member of the first conference held in Kentucky. Keuhen W. Landrum, his next oldest son, was born March 17, 1811, joined the Methodist church in 1828, became a licensed preacher in 1832 and joined the conference in 1834. He raised seven sons and two daughters. Robert Landrum, his fifth son. was born in 1830 in Breathitt county, Ky., joined the M tliodist church in 1808, was licensed to preach in 1888, and is still living in Breathitt county, and holding to the faith of his forefathers.1 have given this short sketch of history to show the Christian character of the Landrum family of Kentucky.R.
