The first ice beat fieet of the season set out for Port Clinton Wednesday. In the fleet were the Slurry, owned by Carl Johannsen and sailed by Wilbur Dodge, the Blizzard, with Nathan Ladd and Sylvester Miller, the Silver! -Flakfe, with the Duggan brothers, the Jack Frost, with Rudolph Fisher and Henry Kimmel, the Frost King, with the Messenberg brothers, and the Rambler with Lee Miller, Paul Webster and Ethel Fox The boats started at 8:35 a, m., the northeast wind giving them fair headway and they arrived at Port Clinton at 11:30. Returning they left Port Clinton at 1:30 5 p. m., and a head wind compelled them to make several long tanks, almost to Catawba Island, and they arrived here at 3 P m. Near Rattlesnake Island, the Rambler met with an accident and was 'considerably! damaged. She was towed ashore by the Flurry. The boys relate interesting stories ot their trip and are now 1 contemplating a challenge to the autos j for a race to Port Clinton and return, the outcome ot which is awaited with much Interest,
