KENTON, Jail. 31—RobertHemmerly, 30, of Kirby, veteran of World War II who was a prisoner of the Germans for 2? month*, was killed Saturday by ■ Pennsylvania northbound special in Kilby and his co-worker. Owen CUnger, 72, escaped injury, but is in San Antonio hospital being treated for shock. Hospital attaches reported his condition good,The .two men work at the Kirby elevator, and ere envoute in a truck from one building across the tracks to another, when the train hit the vehicle.Hemmerly died within a few minutes, and his body is at Shield* funeral home.
