Off Pavement Only11 Miles in 5,000Mile Auto JourneyMissoula, Deo. 27. — Motoring 5.000 miles through the western states, Theodore Shoemaker of the fote«t service was off pavement or oiled roads but 11 miles of that dis- | tance. and one section not surfaced being in Oregon and in good condition for travel.Mr. and Mrs. Shoemaker were accompanied on their return from their extensive vacation trip by j, Theodore, Jr., who is working for his master’s degree at the Univer- I sity of California, at Berkeley, I where he has an assistanship teach- I ing Spanish.
