Caldwell CALDWELL, Dec. 24.—Some 50 women attended the Christmas party given at Mrs. Lender Han sen’s by the Women's Society of Christian Service last Wednesday. Guests included Mrs. Kurth of Hales Corners, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schaub and Mmes. Roller and Fraser, Lake Beulah, Mrs. Piersdorff and Miss Margaret Schroeder. Friday, Dec. 27, Mrs. Marvin Patterson will be hostess to the society with Mmes. L. A. Han sen and Bern Johncox serving. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Humbert will entertain the Caldwell club Friday evening. This club is issu ing invitations for a New Year's eve party to be held at Farmers’ club hall. Mmes. Orlin Craig and Thekla Utter and Miss Margaret Schroe der attended the Christmas party given Thursday afternoon by the Home Makers’ club at the Archie Koeffler home at Mukwonago. Mrs. Willard Porter and infant son, Dennis Patrick, returned from Burlington Memorial hospital last Wednesday. Miss Grace Van Valin motored to Omro Friday where she will pass the holiday vacation with Rev. and Mrs. Victor Craft. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Humbert entertained at a family dinner Sun day evening in celebration of the birthday anniversary of their daughter, Mrs. Ezra Greeley. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon MacDonald of Watertown were weekend guests at the C. A. Browne home. John Craig and Harvey Treffin ger, state university students, Joyce Boeler, state teachers’ college, Milwaukee, and the teachers, the Misses Cathryn Fisher, Elizabeth Brown, Anna McCarthy are at their homes here for the holidays. At the community Christmas party given last Friday evening at Farmers’ club hall, under direc tion of Miss Kornhoff, the follow ing program was presented: Jane's Bright Idea—Virginia Meyer; Sev en Little Candles—Barbara John cox, Jane VanValin, Marilyn and Nancy Brown, Edwin Harris, Duane Breit, Donald Mitsch, and Phyllis Meyer as Miss Wind. Silent Night, and Star of the East -Marcia Patterson, Ruth Clark, Irene Lukas, Virginia Meyer; My Christmas Telephone — Barbara Johncox; The Big Stocking—Don ald Mitsch, Richard Lukas. The following made up the cast of characters in the Christmas play, “Santa Forgot the Smiths,” with Virginia Meyer accompanist: Audrey Voss, Raymond Craig, Irene, Dorothy and Richard Lukas, Ruth Clark, Richard Utter, Mar garet and Marcia Patterson, Floyd Fickau, Mary McGuire, Arlo and Duane Breit, Phyllis Meyer, Mari lyn and Nancy Brown, Edwin Har ris, Barbara Johncox, June Van Valin; accordion—Virginia Meyer.
