Lewis Township.Lewis township farmers are rapidly quitting the corn gathering business, principally because tneir corn is getting very scarce in the fluids, but we are getting fine corn cribs.One of the sad occurrences in this region is the havoc the hog cholera is playing with Widow Knuckles’ fattening hogs. She has none to spare.Mr. Riley Daves’ barn was totally burned to the ground. No horses burn- i ed, but considerable grain, harness and other property about the stable. It was set on 6re by lightning. The work of rebuilding is being pushed with a vim.
