Mr. Wilcox built the first brick basi new block in Wellsboro near the present bite of the Agitator building. It was occupied by the late J. C. Wheeler as ft flour and feed, store and was destroyed by fire nearly 40 years ago. He alsoerected the Wilcox hotel building in 1870 and the large business block now owned by Roberto, Gardner Co, in 1878, the third floor being used for years as a theater and known for miles ftronnd as Wilcox hall, in Its day the finest auditorium la this region, 1
