Rosalie Virginia AtkinsRosalie Virginia Atkins, 85, of Flint Hill, passed away Saturday. Aug. 20. 2016, at Lynn ('are in FrontFuneral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 24. 2016, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 \V. Main St., with Pastor Dan Rogers and the Rev. .Jim Payne officiating. Burial followed in Flint Hill Cemetery.Mrs. Atkins was born on Nov 23, 1930, in Fort Valley. to John D. Clem and Sylvia Fisher Clem.She retired from the Aileen factory and was a member ofTrinitv Bretheren Church in Fort Valley, She alsotrattended and served as organist for both the Flint Hill Baptist Church and the Blue Ridge Community Bible Church.Survivors include her husband of 56 years. Isaac X Atkins of Flint Hill: three children, Carol Elaine Johnson (C.B. Jr. * of Sperrvville. David Nelson Atkins. Sr.(Pen n v) of Flint Hill, C’athv Ann Ballantvne i Scott* ofw Warrenton: six grandchildren. Mikayla Johnson, Ash-lev Me Neel v Nicole Hanback (Tucker). David Nelson Atkins Jr. (Ashlev), Jacob Ballantvne and Eric Ballanfr 'tyne and one great-granddaughter. Harper Hanback. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers were John Vest, Douglas Nichols. Tucker Hanback. Eddie Williams, Jacob Ballantvne and Jim Didawick. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Markee, Bob Moore. David Nelson Atkins Jr.. C.B. Johnson Jr.. Eddie Noakes. Scott Ballantvne. Roger Atkins and Robert Miloslavich.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, Flint Hill Baptist Church or Blue Ridge Community Bible Church.
