McPherson returned from Glenwood yesterday where they v had gone to take statements from cit-lil Izens there that might help in lo* eating the man wonted for I he mnr-U dor of J. E. Clowser of Chariton at I Glenwood August 7, Nothing new wns r learned on this trip by the officers except that it was learned that Mr. V Clowser was aeeoinpanied by a man 1 at Nebraska City early on the same ( day he stopped at Glenwood. An effort y is being made to trace the journey from the point, in Kansas where Mr. ! Clowser had been working in an effort to learn if the party with Clow- , ser left Kansas with him. Tf this in- ' formation is not obtainable through I, correspondence Mr. Engebretsen, the special agent and W. S. DeMoss, sheriff of Mills county will go to Rexfofd, Kansas, soon to make investigations , there.It is now certain that, a reward will , he offered for the capture of the man j in dowser’s company the night the L crime was committed.
