Lozano's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Erasmo G. Lozano of 601 East Santa Gertrudis Avenue.CORP. ALVIN L. SCHONE-FELD, son of Joseph Schonefeld, Riviera, is a student at the European Command Engineer School at Murnau, Germany. Located near the famed Bavarian winter resort at Garmisch, this school gives training in military subjects, all types of construction, and the fields of repairs and utilities. Students are soldiers, sailors and airmen, from U. S. military installations throughout Europe. Corporal Schonefeld is receiving instruction in heavy construction methods. He graduated from Riviera High School in 1943 and has been in the Army ten months. He is assigned to the 4th Engineer Combat Battalion at Hanau, Germany, as a construction specialist.PFC. RAYMOND C. DURHAM.JR., has been home on a 10-day leave. While he was home, his baby daughter, Alice Wimberly, was born, on Aug. 5. Mrs. Durham, the former Luane Westbrook, is making her home at Seeligson with her parents.Pfc. Durham left Monday of this week for Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., which is a jet training cen-S SGT. JACK P. LEON, son of Mrs. Barbara L. Andrus of 502 South Sixth Street, is working as a personnel and classification specialist in support of the 3rd Bombardment Wing’s all out effort against the Communists in Korea. Hhe has been in Japan since April 1950. He classifies all personnel coming into his squadron, making sure they are properly assigned. Since the outbreak of the Korean war Sgt. Leon’s outfit has destroyed or damaged 6.000 Red supply vehicles and 90 water going vessels. Over 250 locomotives have been destroyed or damaged, as have 1,940 supply-laden railroad cars.
