here. They raise wheat, rye and potatoes and plenty of garden truck. They do not have much night here— only three or four hours. It gets dark about 11 o’clock p. m., and day-light about 2 o’clock. It will be quite hard to get used to it. It rains quite often here. The trains are very odd. They are very small and are divided in small rooms which accommodates eight passengers. Our coaches will make about three of theirs. The freight cars are not much larger than a farm wagon, with wheels about 36 inches with spokes. Their automobiles are like ours but I have noticed some trucks run by steam engines.' I had to laugh when I seen them running along the road. They are made like our water trucks. Everything seems so different to what it is back in dear old Indiana. There are lots of pretty girls here, but the American girls are far ahead of them on beauty.
