nenry James jviereaim,Two-Car Collision Near Antonino♦Fatally Injures Plainville WomanTwo cars colliding at a partially '‘blind” county road intersection left a Plainville woman dead and a Hays woman seriously injured in an accident near Antonino at 1 p. m. Sunday.Three other persons of the six involved in the crash were injured but not seriously.Dead on arrival at St. Anthony Hospital was Mrs. Agnes Bohning. 64. Plainville,A passenger in her car, Mrs. Anna Dreiling, 62, Plainville, is listed in good condition today at St. Anthony Hospital with a dislocated shoulder and bruises.In good condition today at Hadley Memorial Hospital is Mrs. Lillian Schukman, 40, 1307 East 15th.She and her two children were passengers in a car driven by her 'lusband, Charles Schukman, 52.who received a broken shoulder and cuts and bruises.Schukman and daughter, Jo Ann, 13, were admitted to Hadley Hospital where they are also reported in good condition today.Dennis Schukman, 12, was not injured.The accident occurred at an intersection three miles west and one south of Antonino.According to Elmer Moore, Hays, who was working in a field nearby, the Schukman boy ran t mile for aid where Moore was working.“The boy collapsed when he got to me/* Moore said.“When I got to the scene, people and personal affects were scattered all about,” Moore said. “Nearly everyone was thrown from the car and nearly all were unconscious.”“Mrs, Dreiling was lying on the ground about 40 feet from where the car came to rest,” he said. “She was lying head down on the embankment of the irrigation ditch which contained three or four feet of water.Schukman was going west on the graveled county road and struck the Bohning car broadside, according to Undersheriff Gene Doerfler. The Bohning car was traveling south, he saicl.Skid marks showed that Schukman had applied his brakes.The view at the comer was partially obscured by the irrigation ditch, according to Doerfler.Both ears were a total loss.Funeral arrangements for Mrs, Bohning will be announced later by Mosher’s Funeral Home of Flam villa.
