yjjjace. Jieiore coming cast last year he piloted 127 winners on the west coast. On February 10 of this year, Connell joined up with Willie Shea of Sandy Ford fame. The youngster has been taken Into the Shea family. with the likeable Willie doing the heavy father act and Mrs. Shea doing tise mothering. They are 35 trolly fond of .the youngster as though he were their own,UNUSUAL ABILITY Shea has a horse turned out in Maryland which he is planning to start next winter in the Santa Anita Handicap, with Stanley aboard. The horse Is Recorder, which might be worth remembering. He also has a two-year-old of hiijh promise named Kay Kamen. which he hopes to start in next winter’s Santa Anita Derby.
