The attorneys for the Union say they have no authority to promise that the strike will be called off and do not think the union chiefswould consent to it.an adjourned term of Circuit Court will be held at some date in the near future to try the case of the State of . Arkansas against George W. O’Neal, Jeff Woods and S. E. Towers, for forfeiture of bailbond. These gentlemen are local business men, who went on a bond of $10,000 foi* the appearance of A. P. Stevens, a strikingemployee of the M. N. A. to appear before the Circuit Court here and answer the charge of bridge burniiig. Stevens, as soon as the going was good, shook off his feet the dust of Boone county and is said now to be located in Oklahoma. This trial was set for the midsummer term of circuit court but Has been deferred from time to time in hopes of effecting a compromise by which both sides might benefit.
