Savonburg girl killed in car wreckA one-car accident look ihe life of a 14-year-old Savonburg girl late Thursday afternoonAmber Nicole Bauer was thrown from the car she was driving when she lost control of it on a county road a mile south and 2.9 miles east of LaHarpe. She was the daughterof Mr. and Mrs. Roy S. Bauer of rural Savonburg.Deputy Sheriff Greg Kyser said the car traveled 517 feet and turned over twice, landing on its wheels at the edge of a soybean field, after Bauer lost control She suffered massive head injuries, according to the coroner's report.Two passengers in the vehicle. Samantha Larson, 14 and Jeremy Larson, 12.Amber Bauerboth of Elsinore, were not seriously injured.Kyser's report said Bauer did not have her seatbelt fastenedMiss Bauer would have been a sophomore at Marma-ton Valley High School this year. An active member of the freshman class she was a member of the basketball and volleyball teams, played in the band and was a member of FH A.She was bom in Reno Sept 6, 1972 and came to Savonburg with her parents in 1983. She spent most of her life in Nevada and Alaska She is survived by her parent* and a sister. Alicia, of the home.Funeral services will be announced by the Kunkel Funeral Chapel
