The Whiterock community, which maintains this area’s all-Negro school, voted down a proposed consolidation with Tom Bean Saturday.Whiterock voted 15 to 11 against consolidation, while the proposed merger carried by an overwhelming 58 to 3 margin at Tom Bean.The proposal had to be approved by both school districts to bring about the consolidatior according to Superintendent Tim Kelly at Tom Bean.
