Bucltman for the adornment of Mechanics hall for the national encampment.The treatment will be at once broad and ornate, and will embrace certain features which will appeal strongly to the comrades. Conspicuous above all will be old glory, both in the amount of bunting .spread and the effectiveness ofarrangement.Radiating from the ridge line of theroof to the upper balcony will hnbroad stripes, 30 feet of blue field withwhite stars, and 00 feet of red aridwhite, the whoie so closely Disced •,« to constitute a canopy. y^cea asEach of the two balconies will be covered with an immense Hag-, which wpll run around the three skies of the hall the blue stripe with stars above, and the stripes of white and of red belowOn the face of the upper balcony will be shown portraits of general commanders In the civil war, and also one of the graat admlrab Farragut. On the lower balcony will (Te placed the badges of U?e various corps.Above ilu- top arch of the nlaae th«r.will be a Vr. A. R. badge, 10 feet bv ? On the wall at one side of the sta»awill be the seal of .the commonwealth and on tha other wall the seal of the city. Each of these seals will bo enclosed In a group of flags. From the stage arch will depend a canopy of btars on a blue field.
