Roger W. Kraut, jeweler of West State street. goigg into the Nelson barbershop yesterday to tell them he had received his first haircut the first day Mr. Nelson's father had opened his shop on the same location. Later a woman coming in for a cut and surprising them by describing how a few women also received haircuts in those days. One chair, she said was reserved for the women, facing away from the window and the stares of the curious.
