Elliott, Fifth cavalry, left last night for Austin muster in the volunteers.The telegraph office is being removed from the old signal office upstairs in the quadrangle to post headquarters where it will be located in Sergeant Maj. Sorenson’s office. Dr. Griffin will be operator.Private Woodward, of company C, Eighteenth Infantry, who remained on duty here as orderly to the general commanding the department, will leave next week to Join his company at New Orleans.Private Rellin Putnam, of troop G, Fifth cavalry, has been relieved from extra duty as teamster in the quartermaster's department and Private James D. Dunsmore, same troop has been detailed in his place,A daughter was born yesterday to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kroeber, 1418 Grayson street. Mr, Kroeber is one of the government clerks who were recently transferred to Atlanta, Ga,, where he now is, while his wife remained in SanAntonio.
