A man who was scheduled to testify in the Gloria Pinter kidnap - murder case died Wednesday of an apparent self - inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to police.Police identified the victim asLester Wilkinson, 39, of 9126 W. Colorado Ave. His body was found at his residence.Wilkinson, who owned the Land D barber shop at the WestColorado Avenue address, wasto have been a character witness in the Pinter trial, according to police.He had been asked to testify for an employe of his barbershop. Nick I/ipez, who is scheduled to be a witness. According to the police report, Wilkinson had been despondent about having to testify in the case.Gloria Pinter. 5. was kidnaped and murdered on Sept. 26. She was taken to an apartment in the 2800 block of West Colorado Avenue where she was murdered. Her mother was asked to pay a $5,000 ransom.Richard Lee Cunningham. 2500 Sonoma Drive, has been adjudicated as an adult in the case and is being tried in district court for kidnap and murder.Cunningham was arrested bypolice when he attempted to pick up the ransom money.A spokesman for the district attorney’s office said Wilkinson was not involved in the murder - kidnap. The spokesman said Wilkinson was to have testified for Lopez because Lopez allegedly had been told something about the case a few hours after the girl was kidnaped.At night the screech owl comes out to hunt for mice, frogs, beetles and other animal food
