Miss Laura Balch lives on Hamilton av., and John Balch is resident of a farm just \ west of Newcomerstown.Sixty-two years ago George and Nancy Balch, descendants of pioneer residents of the county, were blessed with a triple birth.At that time they lived three miles east of Canal Lewisville. The ‘'triplets’' caused quite a stir in the community and a searching of family7 records for like events.That was on April 21, 1873, and thruout the years since the triplets have remained here, m close touch with one another, sharing times of happiness and trouble together.“Thru all the years we have been blessed with good health, and that is something to be thankful for, said Leola Jane—now Mrs. John McCleary of West Lafayette,“Up until we were 10 years old we all weighed exactly the same,*’ j she recalled, and when our parents would pub us on. the scales It always caused considerable comment.
