• Mrs. Matilda Sapp, died al tlie resi-I deuce of her youngest son, Daniel RSapp, about a mile northeast #f tbis ’ * Tillage, at five o’clock Monday mer-j uing, April 17, 1S7(, at the extreme , age of one hundred and oue years, one month and seven daye. About j two weeks before her death she took ] a severe cold which continued to iu-I crease upon her to the hour of her de-: parture. To the last moment of her ; earthly existence site appeared to re*• tain full consciousness and anxious to I be at re*t. Just before the spirit took I its flight she told the friends around J her that she was going, and almost ; with her parting breath said, apparently addressing a brother who died | about a year agor“Johu,I am coming,” I - and sank into the arms of death as to I a night's repose.Mrs. Sapp, whose maiden name was Matilda Hooaiuger, was born in Phil-— | adelphia on the 10th day of March* SI0 I 1775. She wai the bccouiI child of a j family ef four sons and five daughters of Conrad and Catherine Boosinger, only two of whom. Uachel Saxe, aged j 70 years, and residing at Orville, aud Tina liaines, residing at Kinderyilie Indiana—survive her. She was married to her lale husband, llenry Sapp,; el at Hagerstown, Maryland, on the 7jh of October. 1705, and resided there i from the lime of her marriage till she * moved with her husband to this State.! She came to Ohio in 1803, ami settled on the farm now owned and occupied by her son Daniel F, Sapp, where she resided for a period of seventy-three years. For over forty years she had been a consistent and devoted member of the Methodist Church. She was the mother of eleven children, six of whom survive her. viz: Heury Sapp Conrad Sapp, Asa Sapp, Daniel b\ Sapp, and Mrs. Henry T. Hall, ot Ra-j I venua. and Jacob Sapp, of Vandalia, e' Illinois.Airs. Sapp was a woman who dfs-charged faithfully all the duties of life as wife, mother, neighbor and friend and was highly respected by all who , knew her. She leaves a large circle of i- i family connections and friends who ** will derive consolation in.the years to | come in talking over her vnuoy vir.y lues.e | Her funeral takes to-day (Wednesday) at one o'clock p. m., from theMethodist church.Icntl I
