The symptoms of Mrs. Threde** illness are said to have been similar to those caused by certain poisons. Her physician refuses to| state the cause ofher death, ^he was taken ill soon after the alleged attempt at murder. Miss (da (riassmeyer, who swore out the warrant, charges that Mrs. Threde threw gasoline over her which caught fire from a lamp and dangerously burned her. Mrs. Threde denied the charge. The motive for the alleged crime is said to he found in the statement that Miss (Jlassmeyer was the fiancee of Mrs. Threde's son, who died recently, and that the mother objected to the girl.
