“City Beautiful” will be the slogan of the Greater Rhinelander Committee this summer. Frizes will he ofTcrcil for the people living in each warnl of the city and then a grand sweep stakes prize will be given. This is to be a movement lo encourage people to have more gardens and more bowers. Rig into the conscience of every citizen of Rhinelander and you will find that they are in favor of a more beautiful city.We look with admiration upon the well kept lawns of the residences in every part of Rhinelander. Wc point with pride at our fine court house and its lawn of velvet green. We arc always pointing to our fine walks ami paved streets and it is the pleasure of every citizen to tell of the civic pride in Rhinelander, hut we should extend this movement and make it more farreach inThe Greater Rhinelander Com-niiltec of the Advancement Association realizes that much more can he accomplished for our city by beautifying our gardens, our front yards, alleys and streets. A nice garden is the joy of every man and woman. .Nice shrubbery, pretty flowers, well kept lawns, are surely a joy and comfort that can behad with hut very little work and small cost and to encourage the work of a more beautiful Rhinelander, the committee is to furnish prizes for the best kept garden in tfie city- The buy and the girl, the father and the mother of every home in Rhinelander will be given the opportunity to win one of the | prizes. Our streets should be more beautiful, oar homes and back yards cleaner than ever before.I A more beautiful city will Lc cur [slogan. Every one should enter this contest. Window boxes can be used with very little extra work and add greatly to the beautiful movement Tor Rhinelander. We will ' ask the business men to put win-1 clow boxes on the outside of their ' windows lo beautify the down town I district. Everything will be done ! to make Rhinelander one great 'beauty sj*d, because beauty improvement of this kind is a great asset to the city.
