WAVERLY — Ida L. Thoms, 76, of Waverly, died Monday, April 6, at Alien Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, after a lengthy illness; survivors include five daughters, Rose Haar and lone Ledesma, both of Waverly, Carole Cole of Sumner, Shirley Thoms of Rogers, Ark., and Lavina Dietz of Neosho, Mo.; five sons, Larry of Mason City, Ronald and Ariin, both of Waverly, Stanley of Waterloo and James of Barnstable, Mass.; 32 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernst, on March 14, 1986; a granddaughter; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Ella Marti-coff; services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, both in Waverly; friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hour before sendees Saturday at the church; memorialsmay be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Cancer Treatment Center Waterloo.
