From the Editor.Fort Madison, Tuesday Morning.— The citizens of this town are now making preparations to attend the celebration of laying the corner stone of a new Tern, pie at Nauvoo, which is to take place this day at 12 o’clock, M. The whole town is in a state of excitement, all dressed in their best, and ready to step on board the ferry boat, which has been chartered for the occasion. It will be crowded with ladies and gentlemen, who all feel interested to witness the ceremony. We have not yet learned to what Deity the temple is to be dedicated, but from the sound of the cannon, which we have heard all the morning from the direction of Nauvoo, we are not certain but Mars may be the favorite. It is supposed 5,000 people will be present.
