Call and be shaved and be washed, or wash yourself.At the school election in Newburg, R. P. Johnson and C. H. Wood were elected school directors, and the following were elected trustees of the village: R. P. Johnson, Anton Grebl, J. C. Todd, J. W. Scanlan, P. D. Hawkins. A good board.Baby boys were born to the wife of Michael McNerney on the eth ultimo; and to the wife of T. T. Beckner on March 18. All doing pretty well.Martin L. Root and family went to Manson, Calhoun county, Iowa: last Sunday. The effort of collecting was too much for him in Newburg and he gave up and went back to his old home.Postmaster Diehl was up to Rolla on Wednesday.Some of the young chaps went fishing in the Gasconade last week and caught a monster sturgeon over four feet long. Dr. Rodman has it in a pool of the creek in front of his house.A new gravel roof is being put on the round house.K. P. got left.Dr. and Mrs. W. C. Owen have gone to housekeeping over their drug store. The K. P’s. have moved to A. O. U. W. hall.
