Tremont Ea»ter Service*The Sunrise Service was held at Tremont Congregational church due to inclement weather. It was a fine service with the Ellsworth youth group attending and afterwards going to Easter breakfast at Dix vestry in West Tremont. Approximately 70 turned out for breakfast. Olsen Congregational church had a full church with both adult and junior choirs singing. At Tremont Congregational church for the morning service 100 people attended the service. Altar flowers were given by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sweeney in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kelley.Mr. and Mrs. Glen Sylvia gave flowers ir. memory of Mr. and Mrs. William Albec, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Gott and I.cttie M. Sylvia.Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Harding's flowers wore given in memory lt;«f Mrs. Hazel Harding and Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Dix. Altar flowers at West Trtmont evening service were in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hodgdon. Mrs. I’.uth Hodgdon. and Ralph Hodgdm; as gift of Dr. Frank IF'dgion. Mrs. Ronald Farley, Infant baptisms were Evelyn l.ynn Hodgdon. daughter of Mr. art ! Mrs. Elwin Hodgdon. Seal Cove; Elizabeth Ellen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.west Harbor; William Herman Norwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Norwood; Mrs. Shirley Norwood also was baptized.At West Tremont Methodist church the Easter service was given in word and songs with 63 voices in the combined choirs. Olsen Memorial Congregational choir and junior choir, Tremont Congregational church choir and junior girls choir, West Tremont choir made up of Seal Cove Baptist church and West Tremont Methodist church combined. The organists were Mrs. Wilder Dolli-ver, Alberta Stanley and Robert Holt. Margaret Reed of Southwest Harbor was guest organist at Tremont Congregational church at the Easter service. Approximately 200 people attended the evening service at West Tremont.Maundy Thursday service was for all of Tremor, t Parish churches and was held at Tremont Congregational church. The new baptismal font was used for the first time to baptize Howard Gray jr. of Southwest Harbor by confession lt;f faith; Diane Gray mine 1 by letter from Eim St. Congregational church.
