His parents crossed the Ohio river in 1808, landing at the Oatman A Fountain ferry landing, a mile below the city limits and settled on a farm in that neighborhood, Kadford E. Turner has lived on his present farm since 1880 and by strict industry and good habits has acquired a comfortable home. He and his wife have six children, three girls and three boys, all married except one.
