T., April 1.—The dateof the cpming of the comet is passed and the end of time Is not yet.Instead of being a hot Easter as many predicted, it was unusually cooi.There has been some cotton planted which is coming up. Corn generally ha» come up to a good stand. Some are plowing corn. Some are still planting where oats was destroyed. There will be no oats in this vicinity.Lem' Shipman, one of the candidates for sherlfT of Love county, was in town yesterday. He is In the race to stay.A.
