The “Cake Walk1' was one of the most short lifed fads ever accoi'ded. A few weeks ago it had not been heard or thought of. They sprang up all of a sudden all over the country and halls and theatres could not hold all the people who wanted to see them. Two weeks later and reports came from Chicago, Indianapolis and the east pronouncing them dismal failures, the public failing to attend.
