President Kathy Sewell called ; ' the meeting to order after the Opening Ritual was repeated in I ; unison. Correspondence from:' Beta Kappa chapter and the 1 American Red Cross were read.| The chapter voted to make a .($10 donation to the Red Cross.;All members were reminded that the deadline for making1 reservations to attend the Areaj Convention in Marion is April 11. Anyone desiring to attend I must contact Kathy Sewell before that date.The election of officers then j ! followed. The new officers are ;! as follows: President, Guylene 1 1 Perkins: first Vice-president,I Paula Richerson; second Vice-j president. Kathy Banks: Re-I c o r d i n g secretary, Lynda Roper; Corresponding secretary, Sue Waite; and Treasur-ler, Carol Fritch.As there was no further bus-{iness, the Closing Ritual was I repeated. Brenda Horn then | presented the lesson on “Liv-. i ing Out.” The lesson dealt {with the art of landscaping. Mrs. Horn pointed out that outdoor living space should correlate with indoor living. There should also be separate spaces for special uses in one’s yard; for instance, there should be a designated area for the backyard grill as well as for theI children’s play area. iII Co-hostesses Cheri Sheets and i ! Polly Riegel had the girls play 1 • several funfilled games with | 1 prizes being awarded to Bren-; da Questelle, Paula Richerson, j and Sue Waite. The hostesses* then served refreshments of j cookies and Coke to the follow-1ling members present: Vicki |I Fox.
