SSMCMHIINSPECT HARBOR SITE—Four of the five members of theLee county conservation commission are shown Wednesday evening inspecting the site for the proposed public boats harbor at Montrose. From left are Robert M McQuade and J. C. Ochsner of Fort Madison, Walter Fullenkamp of West Point and John Talbott of Keokuk. The fifth commissioner is Joe Malkin of Keokuk, who was unable to be present Wednesday. Proposed harbor is a joint effort by the commission andresidents of Montrose. Much of the fill and material for the harbor will be concrete from old Highway 61 in the Montrose area. The harbor will be one of the largest in this area and will be located off Montrose's Riverview park. The park itself is scheduled to be renovated into picnic area. Completion date for the harbor has been set as late summer 1960.—Democrat Staff Photo.
