Coupal. Jr., Director of Highways, Iowa State Highway Commission.The VS. M Expressway will be hilh along existing C.S. 34 for tha uast one and one-half allies (from the C.S. 275 Intersection) and the remainder of tbe project will be on relocation. Stage constrwtion on the east end cf the projact will allow traffic to be maintained during construction of the road.The preaer* 5-year plan Hats right-of-way totaling 5236,003, grading, 51.S7j.OCO and paving 5949,000.Present plans call for grading In 1971 and paving tbs following year.
