Joseph J. AmsheyJoseph J. Amshey, 71, of 14 Ohio St., DuBois, died Friday at 2:20 p.m. in the DuBois Hospital after an extended.illness.Friends may call at the Paul A. Welton Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today. The Rosary will be recited at 7:80 p.m. Sunday. Rev. John DeSantis will celebrate the Maas of The Resurrection in St. Joseph Church Monday at 9 a;m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.Mr. Amshey was born at Helvetia April 7, 1907, son of Matthew and Rose: Amshey. He was married to the former Helen Waseleski in 1943. She survives.He was a retired miner and former employee of Triangle Springs, a member of St. Joseph Church, tbs Lithuanian Club and the Sandy Hose Company. He had lived in DuBois for 44 years and prior to that in Helvetia.Other survivors are a daughter Mrs. Anthony (Barbara) Pompeii of DuBois; two sons, Joseph of Arbutus, Md. and David of Edgewater, Md.; six grandchildren; three brothers, Sam, Jack and Paul of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters Mrs. Ann Deirda and Mrs. Mary Prince of Grand Rapids, Mich.He was preceded in death by a son Paul in 1972.
