Sept. 21.At noon a mock wedding was held in the presence'of 50 guests, The honored couple was reunited In a double ring ceremony, withDon Dallenbach acting as clergy* .man and John T. Ferguson as guardian. A dinner given by their children was served at 12:30 at the Vernon Ferguson, home. The tables were decorated with gold centerpieces with “50” in the center, gold doilies, nut cups and yellow roses. The wedding cake was decorated in y el tow, with three yellow wedding bells on top. Mrs. Ferguson wore a corsage of yellow roses and Mr. Ferguson a yellow carnation.Open house was held at the farm home northeast of Laurens from 2 to 5 p. m. for relatives and fi'am 7 to 9 p, m. for friends and relatives.Mr, and Mrs. Ferguson received many gifts, flowers, a purse of money, and many cards. A cablegram of congratulations from Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Ber-tao Jr. of Rio de Janeiro. Brazil, was received during the day. Mrs. Bartao is the former Janice McDer.mott, a granddaughter of Mr, and Mrs. Fergusbn. Mr. and Mrs. Don Ackland of Los Angeles, Calif., unable to be present, telephoned their congratulations in the evening.Mrs. Don Slaven, Mrs. George Davis and Mrs, Mike*Johns werein charge of the dinner at noon, with Gloria Coldren, Sharon Ferguson and Gwenna Ferguson serving. Mrs. Earl Ferguson presided at the coffee table in the afternoon and Mrs, ClydePeterson in the evening. Mrs. Leila McDermott of Los Angeles, Calif,, was in charge of the guest book. A poem, '‘Golden Anniversary,” by Edward Boone, was written in the guest book by Mrs. Gebrge Coldren, Mrs, R. T.
