LATCH HOME IS LARGELY ATTENOEDHonoring the golden wedding anniversary of Mr, and Mrs. Theodore Latch, Open HtoUse was held at the Latch home Sunday afternoon, Sept. 26th, between t tie hours of two and four o’clock. About 200 relatives and friends called during those hours to extend congratulations to this well known and highly respected couple.The serving table was overlaid with a lace cloth and beautifully appointed in gold and white. A five tiered anniversary cake decorated In gold and topped with a wedding bell provided the centerpiece and was flanked with \ white and gold tapers In crystal \ holders. The white napkins were lettered in gold Clara and Theo.” Many lovely bouquets of flowers decorate^ the rooms and especially attractive was the arrangement of bronze and yellow chrysanthemums on the buffet. The Latch daughters Mfs. Howard Hoff Mrs. Paul Jones and Mrs. Russell Meads all of Ames served as pourers at the table. In charge of the serving was Mrs. Howard Latch Mrs. Mae Olthoff of Marshalltown and Mrs. Lloyd Bear. Assisting in the dining room were Mrs. Nyle Latch of Spencer and Mrs. W. V. Van Pelt. Mrs. Earl Roberts had charge of the guest book. 'The couple received many lovely cards, flowers and gifts in remembrance of this special occasion.A buffet supper for 40 relatives was served that evening.All of the Latch children~and grandchildren were present for the day.
