Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jaeger, 6945 Justine st*. celebrated their 55thwedding anniversary last Saturday evening. More than 30 guests attended the reception, which was planned by their children,Mrs. Frances Zabransky, 7841 Throop St.; Mrs. Freda Brown of Sioux City, la.; Mrs. Caroline Popp, 1744 W. 77th st.; John Jaeger, 7004 Talmanare.; Mrs. Minnie Baier, 6431 Peoila St.; Mrs.Betty McKeown, 1301 W. 72nd st., and Ernest Jaeger, who is serving in the army at Galveston, Tex. They have 12 grandchildren and one.greatgrandchild.Mrs. Jaeger, who will be 77 years old October6, and her husband, who will be 77 next April,were both boru in Bavaria. She came to America in 1886 and he arrived here a year earlier. Mr. Jaeger has been employed as foreman of Wilson and company box factory for the past 44 years. Heis a member of Peace Memorial church and his wife, whose hobbies are gardening and crocheting, is a member of Sacred Heart church.The couple were married in Cincinnati and came to Chicago in1893. They have lived in their present home for the past 32 years.
