M. Max HolmesNESS CITY — M. Max Holmes, 52, of Ness City died Friday morning -after a heart attack atthe Ness County Hospital. Bora Aug. 29,4918. at Frederick, he married Martina Munscih Feb.' 18, 1960, at Ness City. He hadbeen a farmer and had livedhere most of his life.He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ness City; Knights of Columbus; American Legion; VFW; veteran of World War IT.Survivors indude the widow; daughter, Lisa Ann, of the home; father, William J. Holmes, Ness City; step- sons, Stanley, Hays; Kenneth, Kansas City; step- daughters, Kathy, Pawnee Rock; Terri, of the home; sisters, Mrs. Roland Shorver, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Vem Stum and Mrs. Marjorie Laas, Ness City; Mrs. Donald Whipple, Minneapolis, Mann.Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church with Father Robert Herklotz officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery with military rates. Friends may call Saturday and Sunday and the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness} City. Rosary will be 8 p.m. i Saturday and Sunday at the i mortuary.
