EBIE REUNION.Tlie first annual reunion of the Ebie relatives met Saturday, September :i. 1907, at the country home of Peter W. Ebie, near Hartville.The morning was cloudy and threatened rain but nevertheless the friends began to gather until the noon hour, when one hundred and eighty-seven had assembled. The dinner tables were loaded down with the good and rich fruits of old Mother Earth, which all enjoyed very much. After dinner the singing of songs called the relatives together and the address of welcome was then given by George Ebie, of Olney, ill., to which Rev. S. S. Shoemaker responded in a hearty manner in behalf of the relatives.Then came a permanent organization and the following officers for next year were elected: Samuel Mish-ler, president; I. D. Brumbaugh, vice president; P. W. Ebie, treasurer; D. F. Ebie, historian; Miss Vernie Shoemaker, secretary; Mrs. Henry Kinsley, chorister; Frank Ebie, Peter Slus-ser, Jacob Huff executive committee.The business being finished the meeting was closed by the singing of appropriate songs and prayer was offered by Rev. Charles F. Kinsley. The remainder of the day was very pleasantly snent in visiting.
