McRae, about two miles southeast of New Middletown. The occasion was the celebration of their golden wedding. About 200 of their relatives and friends paid them honor. The tokens of friendship were many and valuable, including |40 in gold. . The good things to eat were simply inde* scribable. The aged groom is 73 years and his bride OS years of age and they have lived at their 'the Presen* home all their married life. They have living six children: John, William, Charles and Walter McRae, Mrs. Ella Cooperand Mrs. Mahala Zimmerman, of*Kansas*Mrs. McRae's maiden name was Rhoda A. Shuck, a daughter of “Uncle'’ George Shuck, who lived on Little Indian, near the Zenor place. After the marriage at the bride’s home, it is said that the bridal party to the number of eichtv rode horseback to the in-s- *-fair at the groom's home, the procession being led by the bride’s parents. Both were born in thiscounty.Those attending from a distance were George Venner and family, of Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Friedly, of Kansas; Walter and Wm.
