Dickinson, Brownsville theatre operators, have announced they have j co1.* acquired a long term lease on the 1 Strand’theatre in that city, from Mrs. cam( Mary Lasky.The transaction gives the firm control of all three Brownsville theatres.Last week they purchased the Plaza theatre building which they have operated, with the Bison theatre, for the last four years.The Strand ia one of Brownsville's oldest playhouses, operating there for 22 years. Its acquisition, the new managers said, “will give the theater goers of the tri-county district the best pictures on the market made by leading producers.
