Mr. and Mrs. Rov T. ButtonSilver Lake’s village president Roy T. Button and Mrs. Button will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with open house Sunday from 2 to 5and from 7 to 9 p.m. at their home.That event will be for their relatives, neighbors and other friends from Kenosha, the county and other places. The actual anniversary date, Sept. 28, will be marked next Tuesday with a quiet family dinner.Roy T. Button claimed the former Miss Georgia McDougall as his bride Sept. 28, 1904, atthe farm home of her parents, the Alex McDougalls, near Wil-mot.Three children were born to the couple: Melvin of Tuckahoe, N. Y.; Lester, Milwaukee: and Mrs. Fred Schmalfeldt, Silver Lake. The Buttons have five grandchildren.Mr. Button is a charter and still active member of the Kenosha county park board. He is one of two men who purchased the ground for the two county parks about 1929. Born in Paris township, he has operated a hardware store in Silver Lake for 48 years.
