ROBERTS FAMILY REUNIONThe annual reunion of the Roberts family, decendents of John and SarahRoberts, early Fayette County pioneers,., was fyeld Sunday, September 19 at the Tourist Park, Cedar Falls.Three of the four members of the first generation- were present, the eldest, Mrs. Emma Roberts Jewett having passed to her reward eight years ago at the age of seventy-eight. The remaining brothers and sister are in excellent health and are Wm. H. Roberts of Marion, age eighty-five; Franklin P. Roberts of WebsterCity, age, eighty-three, and Mrs.. Lil-*lian Roberts Liekiss, age seventy-nine.*Others present were: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Segar, Milo and Bernice Segar and Mrs. F. P. Roberts of Webster City, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Carral Roberts, the Misses Bertha, Claire, Louie, Janet and Teresa, and John Roberts of Marion, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Wade, Elkader, Mrs. Elmer Yenney and daughters, Zoa Ann and Barbara, and' Mrs. Ray Blume, Janesville, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalf, Mr. and Mrs.'Herbert Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Metcalf and children, Delofcis, Teddy jxn d James of Fayette, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Hetzel, Sumner and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hetzel and Merle Hetzel of Arlington.The weather was ideal for the sumptuous repast served at noon though the hot coffee proved very acceptable. After lingering over the long tables, enjoying visiting as well as feasting the parties spent the afternoon at the river, the merry-go-round, the zoo, and various other attractions offered at the parks, and at a late hour the various groups regretfully separated to wend their way homewarcl, feeling that another gem was added to their memories, and voting for another get-togetherin 1938.
