They were hooked for a program of music and an old-fashioned rake walk. In irder to appease the crowd, which assembled at night a thousand or more beins? in attendance, a cake walk was improvised which proved a great success. The contestants were Harenre Ea.^lev, of Xorwalk and Jane Berkley, of Milan, and William Niplett. of Iyo-r.atn and Miss Kellev, of Sandusky.V »The first named couple “took the cake.’*William Carroll, of Lorain, led the rake walk ‘grand march and before the, I dual start he sang a song in his happy sstvle which brought down the house. The committee in charge are muchpleased with the whole affair, declaring if to be a decided success in matter of fun, literary and oratorical merit, attendance and financial receipts.
