They plan to give a needed face-lifting to the massive Sherman Tank which sits impressively on the crown of a hill near the entrance to the park.The Scouts plan first to give the tank an overall sanding to nd its exterior surface of rest scales built up over the years and then plan to give it as many coats of black paint as is needed to restore it to its original luster.The tank, which held a crew of five or six men, is about 15 tons lighter than the larger Patton Tank which was introduced later into the military.
