Friends Scoffed, I But the Courtship Is in 50th Year!Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jaeger Celebrate Their Golden Jubilee Monday.Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jaeger, 6945 Justine St., who are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary Monday, recall the dire predictions for theirmarriage.It was in Cincinnati n 1888, after s. courtship of two weeks, that Marie Uhlrich was married to Fred Jaeger. Both the bride and the groom hadbeen born in Bavaria. Germany, and felt that they could make a ‘go”of it.They did!Saturday the couple will hold reception in their home for old friends and the family. Monday a high mass will be celebrated in their honor in the Sacred Heart church, 70th and Aberdeen sts., at 8:15 p.m.Both Mr. and Mrs. Jaeger are 71 years old. He still works with Wilsonand company with whom he hasbeen employed for 38 years, andMrs. Jaeger still does housework.After their marriage, the Jaegers lived for one year in Cincinnati and then moved to Southtown, locating at 50th and Justine sts.
