Wednesday we enjoyed a call from Dennis McTigue and a son S. P., who Jive-a short distance east of Cylinder*.1 Mr. McTigue moved from Dubuqucr county to Sac county in pioneer daysr 1 when Michael, Patrick, and John Joynt came lo Palo Alio. He knew them ? well when they were young men. Mr. [ MoTigue has unbounded confidence in J the future of our country. He has ! laid over 60,000 tile on fits land during:the summer and he will continue improving it. He and Tiis sons have two sections and they will be kept very j birsy during the coming years. He has eight sons and all of them rcc-toiahfjs. Tliis is a record which any father can well feel proud. Mr McTigue does not like lo hear our American citizens use the word, ’can’t. He has rccn enough of development and progress in our state during the past forty years to convince him that confidence and effort can accomplish Wonder*
