Olson was born at Huxley,Story county, Iowa, on the 4th dayof October in the year of 1861. Diedonianhe1doat Ames, Iowa, on the 18th day ofSeptember, 1915, at the age of 54years, 11 months and 4 days.He was married on the 9th day ofApril. 1887 to Julia Ferguson. Fortolatheibalfeethe first two years Mr. and Mrs. Olson lived at Cambridge, Iowa, fromwhence they moved on a farm threeand one-half miles north of Slater,Iowa, where they lived together for[*itwenty years.The family then moved to Ames,Iowa. It was not until the last yearon the farm that the health of Mr.Olson began to decine, and he realized the necessity of giving up hismore active duties in life.For four years he has been a constant though patient sufferer of ashma, the affliction to which he suc-*umbed.Ho sought relief in traveling thruparts of Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraskaand Wyoming, but with no avail.To those of his family whom heleaves he will always be remember- j ed as a most devoted and loving hus-‘band and father.Mr. Olson leaves besides his wife,who has been a most devoted nurseduring his sufferings, three daughters, Mrs. Carl Bachman of State Centerfi Iowa, Theressa and Beatrice ofAmes; four sons, Sanford of Win-throp, Minnesota and Marian and Burton and Abram of Ames, hismother, Mrs. Sarah Olson of Huxley,Iowa, two sisters, Mrs. E. H. Sheldahl of Huxley and Mrs. Seversikeof Cambridge, Iowa and two brothers, Ole B. Olson of Huxley and Wm.B.
