Olson was born at Huxley,tory county, Iowa, on the 4th dayf October in the year of 1861. Diedonmihedc,t Ames, Iowa, on the 18th day ofSeptember, 1915, at the age of 54'ears, 11 months and 4 days.He was married on the 9th day of\pril, 1887 to Julia Ferguson. Fortolahlt;bsfcthe first two years Mr. and Mrs. Olson lived at Cambridge, Iowa, fromwhence they moved on a farm threeand one-half miles north of Slater,Iowa, where they lived together fortwenty years.The family then moved to Ames,owa. It was not until the last yearm the farm that the health of Mr.Olson began to decine, and he realized the necessity of giving up hislore active duties in life.For four years he has been a con-« «tant though patient sufferer of as-hma. the affliction to which he succumbed.He sought relief in traveling thruirts of Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraskaid Wyoming, but with no avail.To those of his family whom heaves he will always be remember-1 1 as a most devoted and loving hus-iand and father.Mr. Olson leaves besides his wife.vho has been a most devoted nurseluring his sufferings, three daughters, Mrs. Carl Bachman of State Centerfi Iow'a, Theressa and Beatrice off\mes; four sons, Sanford of Win-throp, Minnesota and Marian andBurton and Abram of Ames, hismother, Mrs. Sarah Olson of Huxley,Iowa, two sisters, Mrs. E.
